OUR INITIATIVES

The Nigerian Association in Uppsala organizes both indoor and outdoor activities during the summer period, where members and non-members can enjoy various activities such as football, chess, and local draft games. These activities allow individuals to relax and recharge, as summer is an ideal time to explore new places, try new things, and create lasting memories with friends and family. Whether relaxing or being active, our summer events offer endless opportunities for enjoyment and making the most of the warm weather.

Our mission is to provide tailored support, skills training, and access to opportunities.

Target groups include:

  • People in need of guidance to approach studies or work.

  • Young adults (18–29 years) who are not currently employed or enrolled in education.

  • Through inclusive workshops, mentorship, and partnerships with local employers and educational institutions, we aim to foster personal growth, economic independence, and long-term engagement in work or study.

Goals of the program:

  1. Increase Workforce Participation – Help individuals gain skills and confidence to enter the labor market or educational institutions.

  2. Empower Young Adults – Engage young people (18–29 years) who are not currently working or studying, providing them with opportunities to rediscover purpose and direction.
